best wedding photography 2016
Hello!
Thank you for the interest in my work, this is a very little summary of what engaged me this year. Everything has begun at the Way Up North conference in april where some of the greatest photographer in this business shown us their vision of wedding photography.
They said something that has been remained in my mind for a lot of days since I realize what they really wanted to taught us. Shoot for the client, non for yourself.
Stay focused on clients needs and their stories. That was very inspiring for me, I tryed to made this vision mine and I tryed to keep their words in my mind while I was working. During this wedding season I travelled a lot, took a lot of flights and drove for thousands of kilometers.
Honestly there isn’t a job that I preferred among others, there are places that will stay with me foverer and people I really want to meet again in the future. Every single wedding I did was a new experience, every couple I met was really inspiring to me. In some cases these months have been very difficult to me: I slept only an hour and half after a wedding in Sicily (Marina and Tom wedding has been incredible, follow Marina on instagram, it’s worth the time) before taking a flight to home for another wedding to do the day after. And I was happy.
Trust me. I finished to work at 10pm in London at Rachel and James’s wedding then I stayed in the hotel for only two hours before taking a midnight train to Gatwick Airport. And I was happy. Another time I slept in my car on the side of the road because I was too much tired to drive back to home. I was happy.
I did three weddings in three days with flights and kilometers in between. I did this thing twice. I have had needed to rest for days after that. And I was happy. The “best wedding photography 2016 – a year in review” you are going to see below is a brief selection of all my works.
These are not the most epic images you can find on the web, but are the images that give me the strength to do this job for years to come, I feel these images as part of me. I want to thank all the people involved, all the couples I met and all the friends here that have supported me. My beautiful daughter, my friends here at home and my “online” friends. Andrea, Michele and Michele. Chiara. Francesca and Mauro. Carla. Matteo, Assunta.
In no specific order. All the guys I met at Way Up North. All the guys I haven’t met at Way Up North but I would to. New year is coming with a lot of surprises ready to me. I have a to-do list full of good wills for a person very close to me. New destinations weddings are coming in Italy and abroad. My willing for this new season is to stay much closer and pay more attention to the needs of my couples than I’ve done before.
